Bonaldo: the story
The Bonaldo story is one of the here and now which spans generations and designs, needs and desires, interpreting the unpredictability of time as an opportunity and regarding consistency as a constantly evolving process.
Bonaldo, from the Veneto region, with headquarters in Padua, was established in 1936 as a craft business specialized in the production of metal bedsteads. Over the years, the original spirit behind Bonaldo's handcrafted work has evolved and matured following a well trodden path in which design innovation is interpreted as a comprehensive overall process and not simple technological renewal.
The dialogue with the world of design allows the company to grow hand in hand with the work of almost thirty designers, launching different successful collaborations: partnerships that, under the direction of Bonaldo, have generated collections renowned all over the world, a distinguishing feature for products with a strong stylistic character.
Nowadays, the company, represented by the third generation of entrepreneurs, has undertaken a strongly expanding and intercontinental path with the presence of Bonaldo exhibition sites in every continent.
Bonaldo's vision takes in cities and landscapes all over the world, crossing the boundaries between cultures and sensibilities with the same lightness with which it spans space and time.

Bonaldo: materials
Over the years Bonaldo has expanded to include materials and production techniques from ceramic and woodworking to the production of polycarbonate and die-cast aluminum objects and from applications using glass and leather and fabrics to those involving marble, concrete and lava rock.
Guided by the skilful use of materials, colour and finishes, Bonaldo design approaches the essence of design: a concept that is based on the selection of elements, rather than on their straightforward reduction.

Featuring over 20 macro-types of objects, the Bonaldo catalogue offers contemporary interior design a wide and original range of products, systems and solutions, thus making a well-laid out and constantly evolving program available to architects, interior designers and end users.
